"Profligate Democracy." The National Riot is an independent publication launched by Owen Michael in Spring 1995 and renewed in October 2025. Journalism professional, literature-trained, I don't intend to send out many newsletters, the outreach TBD. But pitches, tips, contributions and network connection welcome.

We're spreading accurate and important locally sourced information, and highlighting vital work from across the USA. The American Experiment is still being tested.
